Preparing Tamales

Serving tamales around the dinner table for your family can be difficult but have no fear. Here are three easy ways to cook your tamales. Our delicious tamales are fully cooked. For the best results, leave the tamales wrapped in their cornhusks.
STEAM: (Preferred method of reheating)
Remove tamales from the bag and steam for 10-15 minutes from a thawed state.
If the tamales are frozen, then you may steam for an additional 5-10 minutes.
BAKE: Preheat oven to 325*F. Remove the tamales from the bag and lay them flat on a sheet of foil. Wrap and seal the foil well around the tamales and bake for 10-15 min if thawed; 20-25 minutes if frozen.
MICROWAVE: Wrap thawed tamales in a damp paper towel and place them on a microwave safe plate. Heat tamales for one minute and then add as many 30 second increments until it reaches the desired temperature. If frozen, use the defrost microwave setting and keep in mind that the cooking time will be slightly longer.
STORAGE: Refrigeration/Freezing
When you’re tamales arrive, if they are not frozen, they can be frozen or refrigerated.
They can be stored in the freezer for 3-6 months at their freshest point and 1 week in the refrigerator.
